Various other pharmacological agents can be used in the treatment and management of different symptoms of anaphylaxis. However, all these agents serve as adjuvants and are not reliable when used solely.

Anti-histamines work by inhibiting the action of histamines on various receptors. There has been no reliable data as to its efficacy. Antihistamines can efficiently relieve the skin symptoms of hives, and eczema etc. But they are not seen to relieve symptoms of edema in the airway.

Possible side-effects, like sedation can occur in some sub-classes of these drugs.
