Stiffness Of Joints
Affected joint experience reduced mobility in the aftermath of an acute gouty attack. For the most part, this stiffness is because of the residual symptoms like swelling, tenderness, or lingering aches. The associated discomfort makes it more challenging to move the affected joint, causing patients to cease movement willfully.
However, in cases where gouty attacks remain mostly unchecked and progress over time, affected joint tend to become stiff. It gradually reduces its range of movement over time, and the patient may exhibit very little mobility.
