When a person is suffering from kidney diseases, the kidneys are not able to filter out uric acid the way they normally do it. Excess of uric acid starts to buildup in the body which leads to hyperuricemia and gout. Most people having the early stage of kidney disease do not get a diagnosis and gout can be an alarming sign of kidney dysfunction.
