Stem Cell Transplant

The stem cells produce new cells that are damaged by the accumulation of plasma cells in the bone marrow. In this technique, the stem cells from a healthy donor or the patients themselves are introduced in the body. The newly replaced stem cells start producing new body cells after 2 to 3 weeks after the transplant. Patients need to stay at the hospital during this period to prevent infections.
