Bloody or Dark urine

Before the progression of the UTI, your urine might appear darker, cloudy, or usual in color. Dark or pale yellow urine can just be a mild symptom of dehydration. However, doctors say that if it’s coupled with pelvic pain and burning urination, it’s a good chance that these symptoms can be due to a UTI.

Drinking extra water can lighten your urine color and rule out the diagnosis of UTI. Even if its UTI, doctors agree that drinking water-based beverages and keeping yourself well-hydrated can help treat infection and slow down the progression of UTI.

Blood in the urine is another telltale symptom of UTI. It usually manifest after the progression of UTI to the remote organs such as kidneys. Bloody urine also indicates a great damage to your ureters or kidneys, therefore, it is important to consult your physician or gynaecologist as soon as possible to get an early diagnosis and prompt treatment.
