It involves plants as a food source. Fruit, vegetables, nuts, pulses are the main components in this meal form. There is also a semi-vegetarian meal which, involves moderate amounts of meat. For example, fish and salmon, however, people who don’t like meat, can use egg as an alternative. A plant-based meal is rich in nutrients such as vitamin C, fiber, and potassium that are good for health and help in reducing weight. Plant-based meal reduces the risk of other diseases such as heart, diabetes, and cancer.
