Exercises For Neck pain
Neck pain is one of the common symptoms after a slipped disk. Pressure on the neck nerves can cause pain and muscle spasms in the neck and shoulder muscles.
The following neck exercise can help ease pain caused by a herniated;
Neck extension
Neck extension is a great exercise when it comes to easing neck pain and discomfort.
How to do it:
- Lie on your back (supine position) on a table or any flat surface with your neck extending from the edge.
- Gently lower your head and neck backward and let them hang. Discontinue if this aggravates your pain or sends it down your arm.
- Hold your neck in this position for a few seconds, rest for 1 minute, and then repeat 5 to 15 times.
