Exercises For Neck pain

Neck pain is one of the common symptoms after a slipped disk. Pressure on the neck nerves can cause pain and muscle spasms in the neck and shoulder muscles.

The following neck exercise can help ease pain caused by a herniated;

 Neck extension

Neck extension is a great exercise when it comes to easing neck pain and discomfort.

How to do it:

  1. Lie on your back (supine position) on a table or any flat surface with your neck extending from the edge.
  2. Gently lower your head and neck backward and let them hang. Discontinue if this aggravates your pain or sends it down your arm.
  3. Hold your neck in this position for a few seconds, rest for 1 minute, and then repeat 5 to 15 times.
