The people having intense urges to scratch might also cause cracks in their skin after scratching for a long time. The breaks in the skin as a result of scratching undergo infections. The infected areas might need antibiotic treatments for resolving the situation as the breaks in the skin are open invitations for bacterial and viral attacks. The rash develops into pus-filled vesicles, intense red bumps, crusting of the skin, more swelling, or tenderness of the skin due to prolonged heat rashes. At this point, the person needs medical attention from a skin specialist to resolve the condition accurately.

Moreover, when the person having heat rashes is living in the same condition of hot and humid weather, then there is heat exhaustion. The heat exhaustion causes more sweat production, which ultimately triggers the itching and burning sensations. There is an increase in the inflammation of the skin surface due to all the excessive sweat production. As a result of all the heat exhaustion, the skin starts to appear as hot and flushing red without even any sweat production. The person suffering from the condition of heat exhaustion often complains dizziness, weakness, headache, nausea, vomiting, difficulty in breathing, or confusion.
