Oatmeal is very effective in order to reduce the itching and inflammation going on the skin. Eating oatmeal with your favorite meal makes it very useful to have a home remedy for heat rash. Oatmeal also helps in treating a number of other skin conditions along with heat rash. Oatmeal is also greatly effective to combat skin allergies and bacterial infections that worsen the condition of heat rash. Now in order to make oatmeal put one or two cups of oat in the lukewarm water bowl and try to soak it for 20 minutes. Make sure that the water is not so hot because it might further irritate your skin. You can also prepare a paste with oatmeal and water for topical application on the skin. Mix one part of oatmeal to one part of water and combine well to make a paste. Try to apply the oatmeal paste on your skin for 15 minutes to get the best results. For better results, try to use soothing colloidal oatmeal for application on the skin.
