Addison’s disease is an everlasting endocrine disease. It is also known as adrenal insufficiency, as the name indicates adrenal glands are not capable of producing corticosteroid hormones. These hormones relieve pains, stress, swelling, redness, itching, and allergic reactions. The symptoms of Addison’s disease slowly came to notice. Symptoms may include abdominal pain, weakness, and weight loss. Among the corticosteroids, lies the aldosterones which are responsible for increased secretions of potassium through urine. Hypoaldosteronism causes the retention of potassium.
