Dialysis is a possibility in the cases of patients, whose conditions are more severe, and there is a remarkable degree of renal failure. For these extreme cases, the doctors keep the patient under strict surveillance and monitor their kidney potassium levels and also perform dialysis to maintain an average level of potassium in the blood.
