Elderly people are more likely to get diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. 90% of patients with pancreatic cancer are over 55 years of age. A possible theory behind this can be that, with the increase in age the immune system of the human body stops functioning properly leading to genetic mutations causing pancreatic cancer.
