Epidemiology of Pancreatic Cancer
Pancreatic cancer is s a disease of old age. It is not a frequent diagnosis in the adult population. The risk increases with age in an elderly population. There is an association, however weak, between gender and pancreatic cancer. Males seem to have stronger chances of contracting this type of cancer. The reason can be attributed to a number of environmental factors which expose men more than women. The incidence of pancreatic cancer is seen higher in Europe.
