Cholangiopancreatography
This technique allows assessment of the viability of the ductal elements of the pancreas. Adenocarcinoma involves these ducts, and is the primary tumor of the pancreas. Hence, this procedure is a good evaluation of the most commonly involved part of the pancreas. This method can use either ultrasound guided endoscopy, or endoscopy guided by magnetic imaging. If there is a tumor in this location, it can be seen pressing on the ducts, and compressing it.
