Imaging Exams
The abdominal area can be visualized with a number of techniques. X-rays, CT-scan, magnetic imaging via MRI and ultrasound can be used in this regard. This allows visualization of the abdominal viscera. Any abnormal mass, or outgrowth can be appreciated in these imaging techniques. Imaging tests are not only useful for making a diagnosis, but also in tracking the disease progression, and treatment efficacy.
