Collapsed lung
Collapsed lung or medically known as pneumothorax, is rather an uncommon complication of the respiration system in mesothelioma patients. The lungs start collapsing when the air entering the pleural spaces comes between the chest wall and the lungs. According to reports, almost less than 10% of the mesothelioma patients suffer from spontaneous pneumothorax. There are surgical procedures and physical therapies available for the release of trapped air between the lungs and the chest wall.
