Some Viral Infections

A variety of infections in the body, especially from certain viruses are related to the development and triggering of multiple sclerosis in the people. A virus known as Epstein-Barr is linked to the development of multiple sclerosis in the affected person from the virus. The particular virus causes infectious mononucleosis and leads to the production of active brain lesions, thus producing more damage to the central nervous system. The Epstein-Barr virus happens to cause glandular fever in the people who ultimately attacks the body’s immune system and weakens it. The weakness in the immune system due to the viral infection causes the triggering of the immune system to behave abnormally and attack the central nervous system.

Moreover, the presence of certain viral infections also impair the body’s immune system, and the affected person can develop the condition of autoimmune disorder. Some of these viral infections include measles and roseola, which happen to occur due to the measles virus and human herpes virus-6, respectively.
