The doctors go for blood testing to help them in ruling out the other diseases as a possibility of the symptoms that the patient is having. The blood tests check for certain biomarkers that have some link with multiple sclerosis and the presence of these biomarkers help in the diagnosing of multiple sclerosis. These biomarkers present in the blood also help in providing information about the presence of a genetic mutation that might cause multiple sclerosis in the patient.
