Another reason for weakness and lethargy in multiple sclerosis patients is due to the de-conditioning of less used muscles in the body. The feeling of chronic weakness appears in the patients when the nerves start to deteriorate in the spinal cord. The symptom of weakness appears suddenly in the patients and might last for weeks and mostly felt in the legs.
