This medication also helps to handle progressive forms of multiple sclerosis. According to clinical trials, this medication reduces the relapse rate in relapsing disease and also slows down the disability of the patient. This medication is injected intravenously with the help of a medical professional. Some of the side effects include irritation at the injection site, fever, nausea, and low blood pressure. This medication also increases the risk of the patient for some types of cancer, especially breast cancer in women.
