Corticosteroids
Corticosteroids like oral prednisone and intravenous methylprednisolone are very helpful in reducing the inflammation in the central nervous occurring as a result of the autoimmune attack. The corticosteroids also reduce the occurrence of the symptoms of nerve inflammation. Unfortunately, there are some side effects of these steroids too in the body like increased blood pressure, insomnia, mood swings, and fluid retention.
