Bruising is one of the classic symptoms of hemolytic uremic syndrome. Bruises in Hemolytic Uremic syndrome (HUS) consist of a red discolored area which consists of swelling and bleeding. This happens when the red blood cells are destroyed at a higher rate then the blood vessels can carry them. Due to this hemolytic clotting happens. This makes the blood thick and sticky that doesn’t let it travel through the blood vessels effectively.
