Trigger Finger (Overview , Symptoms , Causes , Risk Factors , Home Remedies , Stretching Exercises )

Inflammation Of Tendons

The most significant cause of trigger finger is the problem with the tendon such as inflammation or swelling as tendons are the cords that are responsible for joining muscle to the bone. The tendons are attached to the muscles in the forearm and run along the front and back of the bones in the finger. Ligaments which are strong bands of tissues help to hold the tendons of the palm at one place. During the swelling or inflammation of the tendon or sheath, the tendon cannot side easily through the sheath and forms a bulge due to bunching up of tendons, which makes bending of the finger difficult and can click painfully.
