Chicken turmeric pilaf
Ingredients
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- Basmati rice 250g
- Onions 2 large
- Garlic 2 cloves, crushed
- Cardamom 6 pods, squashed
- Fine green beans 100g, halved
- Butter 50g
- Vegetable stock 450ml
- Spinach 100g, chopped
- Frozen peas 100g, defrosted
Method
- Heat the butter in a large frying pan and add the sliced onions and caramelize these onions.
- Mix garlic and green beans along with the spices. Add the rice, stock, peas, and spinach and cook for another 3 minutes.
