Ingredients

  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • Basmati rice 250g
  • Onions 2 large
  • Garlic 2 cloves, crushed
  • Cardamom 6 pods, squashed
  • Fine green beans 100g, halved
  • Butter 50g
  • Vegetable stock 450ml
  • Spinach 100g, chopped
  • Frozen peas 100g, defrosted

Method

  • Heat the butter in a large frying pan and add the sliced onions and caramelize these onions.
  • Mix garlic and green beans along with the spices. Add the rice, stock, peas, and spinach and cook for another 3 minutes.
