Chickpeas with almonds, turmeric, dates and cinnamon
Ingredients
- 40g flaked almonds toasted
- 400g tin plum tomatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 660g jar large chickpeas
Method
- Put dates and tomatoes in a blender and create a puree.
- Now add the puree into the cooker along with ginger, garlic, lemon zest, spices, and water.
- Stir in the remaining dates and chickpeas for 30 more minutes and serve it with toasted almonds and chopped coriander.
