The anti-inflammatory golden tonic is an affordable antidote that you can whip up at home. So instead of buying pricey supplements, combine a bunch of healthy ingredients such as green tea, honey, apple cider vinegar, herbs, and turmeric to gain health and get a refreshing beverage. The golden tonic helps to enhance health by easing any symptoms like chronic bloating, aging, joint pain, and fatigue.

Ingredients

  • 5 sprigs fresh, lightly bruised thyme
  • 2 cups filtered water
  • 2 bags green tea
  • 1 piece finely grated peeled ginger
  • 1 piece finely grated, peeled turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon raw cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey, preferably Manuka
  • 2 cups chilled sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • 4 wedges lime for garnish

Method

  • Bring water to a gentle simmer in a saucepan over high flame. Add thyme, tea bags, honey, vinegar, and turmeric with continuous stirring to completely dissolve the honey. You can let the mixture steep for a few minutes by reducing the heat to low flame. Now strain through a sieve with a fine mesh into a mason jar and refrigerate for an hour.
  • Fill half of the cup with sparkling water and add the tonic mixture in the other half to enjoy. You can also serve the tonic with ice and a lime wedge to increase the palatability.
