Turmeric latte
All the research on the health benefits of turmeric especially the reduction of inflammation is promising but preliminary. The vegan turmeric latte is a must try vegan drink that involves steamed almond milk along with the sweetness of maple syrup.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk beverage or almond milk
- 2 teaspoons honey or pure maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh turmeric
- Pinch of ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 pinch Ground cinnamon for garnish
Method
- Combine milk of your choice with maple syrup or honey, turmeric, pepper, and ginger in a blender and process on high speed until the mixture turns all smooth. Pour the mixture into a smaller saucepan and heat it until steaming over medium-high flame but not bring it to boil.
- Now pour the latte in a mug and garnish with a dash of cinnamon powder if you feel like it.
