Ingredients

  • 125 grams fresh turmeric
  • 20 grams fresh ginger
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons lemon
  • Honey – 2 tablespoons or another sweetener
  • 4 cups coconut water

Method

  • Grab fresh ginger and turmeric and wash them with hot water to slice into thin pieces. It is your call to either peel or leave the skin on.
  • Now add the ginger, turmeric, water, and black pepper in a blender and process on high speed.
  • After creating a smooth puree, pour it into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Let the mixture simmer for 20 minutes and then add honey and lemon juice.
  • You can use a cloth, fine-mesh strainer, or nut milk bag to strain the mixture and refrigerate it for later use.
