Sick sinus syndrome

Sick sinus syndrome, or medically known as sinus bradycardia, is one of the conditions that cause an increase in heart rate and become the cause of atrial fibrillation. The patients are suffering from sick sinus syndrome experience rapid heart contractions, which start in the upper chambers, i.e., atria of the heart. Sick sinus syndrome adversely affects the electrical signal transduction and cause the heart to skip the beats. Some of the patients do not get a proper diagnosis of sick sinus syndrome because the condition of atrial fibrillation and sick sinus syndrome co-exists.
