Sometimes improper techniques used during administration also result in HIV transmission due to cross-contamination. The term indirect means that is doesn’t involve direct contact of the needle with the body. It involves the use of the same tools or equipment such as cotton, rinses water, cookers, etc. that were already exposed to infected individuals.
