Leg or arm swelling

A blood clot travelling from deep veins in the legs and very rarely from the arms can cause was swelling due to the blockage of blood flow to both the lower and upper extremities. The blockage of blood vessels due to blood clots in pulmonary embolism might also damage the blood valves and the persistent blocking of blood flow to the veins in arms and legs can cause inflammation, which is quite noticeable. The damaging of blood vessels valves might cause leakage of blood in the wrong way which leads to creating pressure and fluid retention. Fluid retention is the common cause of swelling of arms, legs, and ankles in people with pulmonary embolism.
