Chemical toxicity

Some chemicals have shown to be responsible for the prevalence of scoliosis. The chemical does not itself cause scoliosis, but it can trigger the prevalence of scoliosis. The chlorine present in swimming pools and the additive present in meat have found to be a cause of scoliosis development.  Studies have also shown metal like mercury to have a negative effect on the ligaments, weakening them and encouraging the development of scoliosis. Although there is no solid research on it, but some therapies suggest food nutrients can also influence scoliosis. As food strongly affects our health and scoliosis is associated with bone density; therefore, deficiency of certain food components might play a role in triggering scoliosis.
