Spinal injuries

Scoliosis can occur as a result of trauma or injury. As the backbone of the human body is a column of many individual bones known as vertebrae responsible for the protection of the spinal cord. A disc made of cartilage is present between each vertebra. These discs are the shock absorber to protect the spinal cord. Any changes or abnormalities of the vertebrae or disk can affect the spinal cord and cause serious side effects. Therefore, it is possible that if trauma to any physical injury is not treated, it can damage the vertebrae of the spinal cord.
