Birth defects

One of the causes of scoliosis development in children is birth defects, which is known as congenital scoliosis. It is a spinal deformity in which the spine is curved due to a birth defect. The spine can be twisted or rotated, pulling the ribs along, resulting in a multidimensional curve. In congenital scoliosis, multiple deformities can occur during the baby’s development in the womb, including the partial formation of bones, the bones may not form normally, or abnormal separation of bones. Besides, the baby’s spine can form curves in the opposite direction above or below the affected area.
