The symptoms of cramps and abdominal pain are signs observed in the patient if he is suffering from distal intestinal obstruction syndrome, which is a complication of CF. It occurs when the bowel is partly or completely blocked by mucus. The person faces cramps and abdominal pain along with bloating. The stools can be hard, and the gut can be completely obstructed. The person feels a loss of appetite, along with nausea and vomiting.
