Bronchodilators

Bronchodilators

Bronchodilators are the drugs that allow more air into the lungs by constricting airway passages. They are delivered with MDI, which includes an aerosolized canister and mouthpiece called a spacer.

Bronchodilators are inhaled for 15 to 30 minutes before starting airway clearance. They help increase the amount of mucus to exhale through cough, and also they help to inhale other medications deeper into the lungs.
