Stomach cancer is more common in males, rather than in females; the ratio of men to women being 2:1. It is because the estrogen hormones produced by the female sex organs, prevents the stomach inflammation. Males do produce estrogen, but in very less amount as compared to females. Moreover, the use of tobacco and other carcinogens is more common among men. During menopause, the estrogen production level drops in females, which make them more vulnerable to stomach cancer.
