Laparoscopy is used before a surgical operation for the confirmation of cancer spread in the neighboring areas. This method is used if the CT scan and other test are unable to detect cancer in the neighboring areas. A very thin tube with a camera and small light, is inserted into the body via an incision in a belly. Some common side effects of this technique
