People who have a family history with stomach cancer are at a higher risk. The mutation in the genes such as CDH1 and CTNNA1 makes a person more vulnerable towards stomach cancer. Stomach cancer is more likely to emerge in people who have a blood relative diagnosed with stomach cancer. However, stomach cancer due to mutations in genes is very rare.
