Vomiting

Vomiting is another common symptom ignored by most people before being diagnosed with stomach cancer. Usually vomiting is harmless, but severe vomiting can damage the stomach lining and cause ulcers, which further contributes to the pathologic manifestations of stomach cancer. Due to loss of appetite and continuous feeling of fullness it becomes difficult for the stomach to retain food. Vomiting can be with or without blood. The tumors have an increase blood supply to fulfil their nutritional demands and the inflammation in the blood vessels can cause bleeding. This blood is then removed through vomiting. Excessive blood in vomit can be life threatening. In case, the symptom persists or worsens over the day, you should talk to your doctor.
