Magnetic resonance imaging technique is an effective way for the detection of stomach cancer. It is the use of magnetic and radio waves to differentiate between the cancerous and normal tissues. It is used for the detection, location and to determine the stage of stomach cancer. A dye is used as a contrast for best results. Before an MRI the doctor will ask you to remove any sort of metal you are wearing. Some common side effects of MRI are

  • Reaction towards the sedative
  • Reaction towards the dye
