Hallucinations

Hallucinations are errors in normal perceptions. Up to one in every 20 stroke patients report auditory and visual hallucinations. Visual hallucinations may be due to loss of the normal field of vision wherein, the brain makes up for the empty picture by filling it with patterns and complex images. “Peduncular hallucinosis” is the term used for visual hallucinations caused by damage in the midbrain region.
