Physical inactivity

Regular exercise and physical activity trigger the heart to pump blood more efficiently around the body and keeps the brain healthy and active in coordinating movements. Inactive muscles have a sluggish blood flow which is more liable to clot formation. The vessels in the legs develop deep venous thrombosis due to stagnation of blood. These clots then can clog any vessel in the body. Physical inactivity is attributed to be responsible for the surge of stroke cases in youth.
