Bruising

Bruises are a very common symptom seen in the people having thrombocytopenia. Bruises can occur as a result of an injury that results in the breakage of capillaries under the skin. The blood comes out of the capillaries and creates a pool that creates bruises. Normally bruises become yellow and fade away when blood is reabsorbed into the body. They aren’t a big concern as the body itself heals the capillary and restores the blood, however, in case of low platelets in the body. It becomes very difficult to clot the blood and prevent extra leakage of blood. As blood does not clot easily, it causes the skin to bruise even after minor injuries.
