The cataract is not a life threatening illness, but it if it’s left untreated it can lead to permanent blindness. If the cataract is in its early stages it can cause blurred and poor vision. Seeking help from the doctor, friend and family can help while experiencing such symptoms. Going through surgeries can be stressful, especially for elderly people because they have a weak immune system and it takes much longer to recover. Support from family and friends can help them feel less stressed and worried about the surgery and recovery time.
