Mass education about the risk factors, causes, and symptoms of colon cancer, can hence significantly reduce the global burden of the disease.
The uncontrolled division of cells in the lining of the colon is called colon cancer. Colon cancer begins when the inner lining of the colon tissue starts to grow abnormally. In this process, it losses the normal functioning of cells, the architectural integrity, and the cellular anatomy also changes.
