Change in stool shape

Thin or narrow stools can be an evident sign of colon cancer. Partial blockage of the colon due to malignant mass cause narrowing of the lumen. Cancer obstruct the passage of stool through the lumen which eventually results in pencil or ribbon shaped thin stool. Call your doctor if you observe any kind of change in shape of your stool accompanied by other major symptoms.
