Cautery

Electro cautery uses electricity to treat the wart. The cauterization is used in dealing with the painful and annoying warts on the soles. This procedure uses a thin needle instrument which is heated by electric current. The heat is then applied to the wart to kill it. The procedure requires a proper history to investigate the presence of a prosthetic joint or electric pacemaker. It is effective in about 6 out of 10 patients. This method can prevent recurrence for approximately six months or more. A few side effects can be pain, burns due to poor skill, or infections at the site etc.
