All Thing You Want To Know About Low Back Pain

Spinal Stenosis

Narrowing of the spinal column secondary to injuries, infections, and other body conditions is called spinal stenosis. It puts pressure on the adjacent spinal nerves and leads to pressure signs and symptoms such as numbness, cramping, and weakness. Low back pain varies depending on the severity of the narrowing of the spinal column. A patient might feel these symptoms anywhere in the body, especially around the areas of nerve root involvement. The symptoms usually worsen when standing, walking, or twisting the spinal cord.

The most common cause of spinal stenosis is degeneration of the vertebral discs. It causes compression of the nerve roots by an outgrowth of the soft tissue or bony spurs.
