Vascular thrombosis
Vascular thrombosis has been reported as a complication of hypernatremic dehydration in infants. [6] These infants had developed dehydration due to inadequate breastfeeding. Vascular thrombosis results with a thickness of blood. Thrombosed vessels have an increased risk to burst in high blood pressure. Hemorrhages therefore, can be seen in relation to vascular thrombosis.
